Fall 2013 update

Hello cycling friends and fans! It’s time for an update on the Collins Cycling Women’s Little 500 team.

As many of our closest friends and families know, the spring 2013 Little 500 season did not go the way we had hoped. After coming off of a great success in 2012, we fell short on the day of Qualifications and did not qualify for the 2013 race. However, that has only fueled our desire to ride even more, and we’ve been out and about enjoying the wonderful hills of Bloomington for the past two months.

Last weekend three of our girls (along with a few friends from the Collins Buccaneers and Alpha Sigma Alpha) enjoyed the 46th annual Hilly Hundred. Although Saturday was chilly and a bit wet, Sunday’s weather was beautiful and we had an overall great weekend.

This weekend, October 25-October 27, is the IU Student Foundation’s Fall Cycling Series. Andrea, Jory, Tabitha, Cailin, and Casey will be competing in Individual Time Trials, Street Sprints, and Cyclocross. The weather is looking great, and we’re excited to get out on the track and compete. Results to follow later this weekend.
